Fortunately, I have only been admitted once before to ELCH, but this latest stay was a positive experience just like my first time. I received prompt and professional attention in the ER, and after my admission, my level of care was top notch. I think we all expect good medical care and that's exactly what I received. The doctors were unknown to me, but because of their caring nature and professionalism, I will be following up with two of them. The nursing staff was exceptional! Every single one, from the ER LPNs and RNs, to the professionals on the 4th floor, were some of most caring, respectful and professional woman anyone could ask for. Nursing is not a career that just anyone can handle, nor should they attempt to be successful at. The nurses assigned to me were such a blessing both in their level of knowledge and their concern for my comfort. They were gracious enough for some conversation, as well, and made my short stay the best that it possibly could have been. Thank you to each of my caregivers. Once I was cleared for discharge, everyone involved made it happen quickly.
I am so thankful to have ELCH so close to home when an emergency presents itself, and to know that I can have confidence in the care I will receive.
