Family Medicine physicians and nurse practitioners provide child and adult wellness exams, administer vaccines and provide other health maintenance services. They also provide age-appropriate health education, screening and treatment. Established patients of the Family Medicine office enjoy same-day access to care to assure timely treatment for sudden illnesses.
Care & Treatment for Chronic Conditions
Our family medicine physicians and nurse practitioners routinely care for patients with health conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma and many other chronic conditions. Our goal is to help each patient reach their optimal level of wellness. The clinicians accomplish this by working as a team with the patient. Together clinician and patient will establish goals, monitor health status and discuss treatment options.
Family Medicine Offers Same Day Appointment & Extended Hours
Our Family Medicine office is newly renovated, with new furniture, equipment and amenities. It includes 11 patient exam rooms that are serviced by multiple clinicians. The new office improves the patient experience, by enabling a clinician to perform an EKG or an A1C tests right in the office. The office is conveniently located in Calcutta Plaza, where access to parking is plentiful and a covered drop off is available.

Our Practice
In-Office Procedures
Your primary care clinician can perform many basic procedures that will help you avoid the cost of seeing a specialist. An example of some of the procedures RVP clinicians perform includes tests for throat cultures, stiches for minor wounds, injections to treat pain and inflammation, mole biopsies and wart removal.
Osteopathic Manipulation
Some RVP physicians are Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine or DOs. They manipulate bones and muscles as part of a treatment for specific medical conditions. The concept is part of treating the body as a whole by not just treating an underlying symptom.
Same-Day Access to Care
Existing patients will be seen to care for your colds, fevers and infections. We provide same day access for sick patients to minimize the impact a minor illness will have on you or your child’s life, so that you can get back to work or school as quickly as possible.
Vaccinations
ELMC clinicians provide their patients with access to age and condition appropriate vaccinations. This may include all of the vaccinations your child needs prior to school and as they grow, flu shots for you and family members, tetanus, chickenpox, meningitis, and human papillomavirus (HPV).
